South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Announces Astroturf Field Hockey Players of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – South Atlantic Conference Carolinas announced its AstroTurf Field Hockey Players of the Week for matches played during the fifth week of the season. Coker's Britt Kabo was named Offensive Player of the Week, and Queens' Avian Thompson was named Defensive Player of the Week.
Kabo, a sophomore forward from Maarssen, Netherlands helped lead the Cobras to their win over Mount Olive, beating them 4-1 this past week. She scored two goals garnering five points with five shots on goal for a .400 shooting percentage. This is the first Offensive Player of the Week honor for Kabo.
Thompson, a junior goalie from Hummelstown, Pa., allowed no goals with one save for a 1.000 save percentage in their 2-0 win over Converse. This is the first Defensive Player of the Week award for Thompson.
