Seventy-four South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Field Hockey Student-Athletes Named to 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad
GILBERT, Ariz. — This year, 423 student-athletes from 33 Division II institutions earned recognition on the 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad.
The Division II National Academic Squad program honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the 2019-2020 academic year.
Limestone and Newberry led all South Atlantic Conference Carolinas institutions with 19 National Academic Squad selections. Queens followed with 15 selections and Belmont Abbey had 13. Coker had 11 honorees and Converse rounded out the selections with nine.
The 2019 honorees appear below, they are listed alphabetically by school. Student-athletes who have received National Academic Squad recognition for four years have been marked with an asterisk. Find an archive of past honorees here.
Two Division II academic awards remain to be announced — the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Scholars of Distinction will be announced on March 24 and the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA National Scholar-Athlete will be released on April 1. The Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA National Academic Team Award was announced on March 4.
