South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Field Hockey Players Named Synapse Sports All-Americans, Newberry's Dave Named Division II Coach of the Year
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) - Three South Atlantic Conference Carolinas field hockey players were named to the 2019 Synapse Sports Division II All-American Team and Newberry's Hannah Dave was named the Division II Coach of the Year on Wednesday (Dec. 11). Additionally, five players were named to the All-Rookie team.
Dave engineered a five-game turnaround for the Wolves, as Newberry posted a 13-5 record in 2019 after posting an 8-10 record last year. The Wolves were the #2 seed in the SAC tournament after not qualifying for the tournament in 2018.
Limestone's Kelly Diplock, Newberry's Brady Keeler, and Queens' Avian Thompson were all named to the second team. The All-Rookie selections were Newberry's Charlotte Bragard, Belmont Abbey's Lauren Delisi, Coker's Britt Kabo, Queens' Gabe Lechner and Limestone's Daisy Ruhle.
