GILBERT, Ariz. – For the second consecutive season, Limestone College junior attack Kelly Diplock (Harare, Zimbabwe) has been named an All-American by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), the organization announced on Wednesday. After picking up second team honors a year ago, Diplock earned a spot on the Longstreth/NFHCA First Team in 2019 as one of the top 16 players in the nation for Division II.
This year, 32 student-athletes were recognized by the NFHCA as All-Americans, with selections divided into first and second teams. Diplock is one of five second-time honorees, while the group also consisted of four third-time honorees and 23 first-time honorees.
The leader of Limestone's potent offensive attack which ranked second in the nation in goals per game, Diplock scored 15 goals to go witsh nine assists while going on to being named the South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row. With seven goals in the last seven games – all wins – she propelled the Saints to their second consecutive conference championship with an upset of top-seeded Queens University of Charlotte while earning the tournament's Most Valuable Player Award in the process.
Diplock finished the season ranked seventh in the nation for Division II in points per game (1.95), seventh in assists per game (0.45), and ninth in goals per game (1.95).
