Bracket Set for 2019 South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Field Hockey Championship
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) –Queens won its first-ever South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Regular Season Title and claimed the No. 1 seed in next week's South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Field Hockey Championship.
The Royals finished the conference schedule with a record of 10-2.
Newberry finished the regular season with a 9-3 record in conference play to earn the No. 2 seed. Limestone picked up the No. 3 seed with a record of 8-4 in conference, and Belmont Abbey rounded out the field at the No. 4 seed. The Crusaders finished the year with a 6-6 record in conference, tying with Coker. The Crusaders won the tiebreaker by virtue of a 1-1 record versus top-seed Queens, while Coker was 0-2.
The 2019 South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Field Hockey Championship semifinals will be played in Charlotte, N.C. at Queens on Friday, Nov. 8. Winners will advance to the championship finals on Sunday, Nov. 10, also at Queens.
The 2019 Field Hockey Championship schedule is as follows:
Friday, Nov. 8 (at Queens University of Charlotte)
Game 1: #1 Queens vs. #4 Belmont Abbey, 4:00pm
Game 2: #2 Newberry vs. #3 Limestone, 6:30pm
Sunday, Nov. 10 (at Queens University of Charlotte)
Game 3: winner game 1 vs. winner game 2, 2:00pm
