South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Announces AstroTurf Field Hockey Players of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – South Atlantic Conference Carolinas announced its AstroTurf Field Hockey Players of the Week for matches played during the week of Oct. 29 through Nov. 4. Limestone's Kate Remley was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Newberry's Allison Davis was named Defensive Player of the Week.
Remley, a junior from Chesapeake, Va., led the Saints to a 9-6 South Atlantic Conference Carolinas win over Queens last week. The midfielder scored four goals with an assist for nine points. This is the second Offensive Player of the Week honor for Remley.
Davis, a senior from Greensboro, N.C., led the Wolves to a 1-1 record last week, while posting her third shutout of the season in a 3-0 win over Bellarmine. For the week, the goalkeeper made 13 saves, while allowing just two goals for a .867 save percentage. This Davis's first Defensive Player of the Week award this season.
