Lions' last second strike leads to 3-2 win over NGU

TIGERVILLE, S.C. - The Mars Hill men's soccer team (2-0) defeated North Greenville (0-1) by a score of 3-2 on the road Saturday night.
Tied at one with eight minutes remaining, Braxton Robinson netted his first goal of the season to put the Lions up one. Just over two minutes later, Zach Heitkemper's first of the year tied the game at two.
In the final second of play, Jorge Perez Prada put home the Peter Plougmand pass for the game-winning marker in his season debut.
A scoreless first half saw the Lions outshoot North Greenville 6-3. Plougmand opened the scoring in the 58th minute with his third goal of the year.
The Crusaders outshot Mars Hill 13-8 in the final 45 minutes of play and struck in the 66th minute to tie the contest at one as Kalvin Semedo netted his first.
Perez Prada led all players with five shots while Plougmand led all players with four shots on goal and three points (1g, 1a).
James Price made five saves for his second win of the season.
The Lions return to the pitch on Wednesday, September 6 when they take on Converse. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
