Men's Soccer Falls to Lenoir-Rhyne 4-1

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University men's soccer team fell to Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday (Sept. 25) by a score of 4-1.

Lenoir-Rhyne jumped out to an early lead with a goal less than two minutes into the match. Noah Tiefel scored two of his three goals in the first half of play to complete his hat trick for the night. The Bears went into halftime with a 3-0 advantage.

Anderson created more scoring opportunities in the second half as they had 10 total shots with two of them on goal. Martin Carpena scored his first goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 78th minute. Goalkeepers Gal Elyashiv and Neko Crist each played 45 minutes and recorded one save.

The Trojans will look to bounce back on Wednesday (Sept. 29) when they play host to Queens (N.C.) at 7:30 PM. Video and live stats will be available at www.autrojans.com.
