Catawba responded with four runs of their own in the bottom half, as Hales got it started with a 2-RBI double down the right field line to score Savanna Balderston and Courtnee Carter and Gallagher took the lead on a two-run homer to left center. The Railsplitters hit RBI base hits in both the fifth and sixth innings to come from behind and take the game one win.

The Railsplitters put up three runs in the fourth inning on Sterre den Duijn's solo homer, an RBI single from Madison Henry and a double steal to take a 3-0 lead. Den Duijn homered again in the fifth, this time a two-run homer to add to LMU's advantage.
