ANDERSON, S.C – Anderson University (3-5-1, 1-3-1 SAC) women's soccer team scored two late goals to down South Atlantic Conference opponent Tusculum (2-7, 2-3 SAC), 2-1, on Saturday evening at Spero Financial Field.

After a scoreless 75 minutes of action, the Pioneers found an opening at 75:34 when Elise Gallo passed over to Brianna Garcia at the top of the goal box. Garcia was able to blast it to the far right post to give Tusculum a, 1-0, lead.

Anderson used the momentum and scored again in the 84th minute when Bethany Morgan collected the deflection from Maggie Black's shot, punching it past Tusculum's keeper. Morgan's goal eventually was the game winning score, 2-1.

The Trojans outshot the Pioneers 24-9 and took 11 corner kicks to Tusculum's one.

Anderson Jeanette Campbell recorded four saves in 78 minutes of action, before leaving the match with the Trojans trailing, 1-0. Freshman Macy McDufford logged 12 minutes and earned her first career win as a Trojan.
