#38 Women’s Tennis advances to SAC semis for second straight year
Sumter, S.C. —- The 38th-ranked and 6th-seed Catawba College women's tennis team took down 34th-ranked and 3rd-seed Limestone in the South Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis quarterfinal round of the conference tournament on Thursday afternoon, advancing to the semis for the second straight year.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ami Miya and Anna Wise earned a 6-2 win over Monika Temkova and Anamaria Kiszner Luca in #2 doubles action
- Sofia Hernandez Mera and Rin Igarashi clinched the point with a 6-4 win in #3 doubles over Galilea Amavizca and Sara Valantini
- Ami Miya earned a 6-3, 6-1 win in #2 singles over Temkova
- Isidora Zivkovic claimed a 6-3, 6-2 win over Anastasiia Khriapko in #3 singles
- Rin Igarashi helped claim the match with a 6-0, 7-5 win in #6 singles versus Valantini
