Jeremy Zalacca

Bio

Jeremy Zalacca joined the South Atlantic Conference staff as the Assistant Commissioner for Communications & Administration in April 2024. 

Zalacca is responsible for overseeing the Conference's media relations and strategic communications. He will also assist in championship administration and serves as the staff liaison to the Media Relations Committee as well as the men's and women's lacrosse committees.

Zalacca came to the SAC from Lenoir-Rhyne University where he served as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Communications for six years. In his role, Zalacca had oversight of all Lenoir-Rhyne social media, website maintenance, statistics and awards for all student-athletes, press releases, media relations, photography, graphic design, live broadcasts, and all digital and creative content produced at Lenoir-Rhyne. Zalacca and his staff were named the SAC Media Relations Staff of the Year in 2020-21. That year the department also won 10 CoSIDA Awards of Excellence for Publications, including best in the nation for the Bears' Women's Lacrosse Media Guide and No. 2 in the nation for Zalacca's men's basketball game notes.

Prior to his time at Lenoir-Rhyne, Zalacca spent five years at Pfeiffer University as the Assistant AD for Athletic Communications. He also served as an Assistant Sports Information Director at Rochester Institute of Technology and SUNY Postdam for one year each.

Zalacca has served on the SAC Championship and Awards Committee, the D2SIDA Men's Basketball and Baseball Regional Rankings Committees, the D2Football national ranking committee, and the D2CCA Women's Basketball All-Region Selection Committee. He was also the Chair of Lenoir-Rhyne's Sports Hall of Fame committee and the SAC Minority Postgraduate Scholarship Selection Committee.
