Bio
Megan Sanger joined the SAC staff in March 2021 as the Assistant Commissioner for Compliance and Internal Operations. She also serves as the SAC Senior Woman Administrator.
Sanger is responsible for assisting in the oversight and coordination of the Conference’s compliance services. She is also responsible for managing the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, the Enforcement/Infractions Committee, Student-Athlete Health, and Safety Committee, and she assists with the NCAA Grant Reporting and Reconciliation process.
Sanger comes to the SAC from Allen University where she was the Director of Compliance and assited Allen in its transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II during its first provisional year of membership.
Prior to Allen, Sanger spent five years at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke where she was the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Administration and Senior Woman Administrator. In addition to her compliance duties, she supported game-day operations for baseball, basketball, soccer, and football, orchestrated NCAA Sexual Violence and Prevention training, directed fitness classes for kettlebell and high-intensity interval training (HIIT), and coordinated mentorships for the Braves Buddies Program.
A former NCAA Division II volleyball student-athlete at Claflin University, Sanger is also a certified volleyball official and has spent time as a volleyball coach.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Claflin in 2009 and earned her Master of Physical Education in Athletic Administration from Idaho State in 2011.
