Bio

Joy Stauffer joined the SAC in the summer of 2021 as the Coordinator of Volleyball Officials. 

Stauffer, a long-time volleyball official and sub-assignor for the SAC, assumes the duties of Coordinator of Volleyball Officials with more than 20 years of officiating experience under her belt. She has worked all levels of collegiate volleyball, including serving as an official for eight Division I conferences, eight Division II conferences, and 11 Division III conferences.

She served as an official for the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional in 2019, while working the SAC and Conference Carolinas Championships from 2015-2020. She also served as an official for the South Carolina High School League State Finals from 2011-2017 and 2020.

Stauffer currently serves as the Director and Assignor of Officials for the Carolina Union Volleyball Club, Carolina Courts, as well as Carolina Juniors Volleyball Club and she is the Volleyball Director for South Carolina High School League District 9. She also serves as the Chair of the Palmetto Board of Collegiate Volleyball Officials. 

She is a member of the National Association of Sports Officials, the Professional Association of Volleyball Officials (PAVO), USA Volleyball, and the National Federation of State High School Associations and is a PAVO and NCAA National Certified Referee.

Stauffer holds a Bachelor of Arts from Washington Bible College and a Master of Education from Temple University.
