#11 Women’s Soccer rolls again to 4-0 win over NGU

Salisbury, N.C. —- The 11th-ranked Catawba College women's soccer team cruised to its third-straight win by four or more goals on Tuesday evening, defeating North Greenville 4-0 at Frock Field.

 

TEAM STATS

- Catawba out-shot North Greenville 32-4

- The Catawba Indians held an edge in shots on goal 13-0

- Catawba took seven of eight corner kicks in the match

 

INDIVIDUAL LEADERS

- Hannah Dunn recorded a goal and an assist

- Zoey Conrad and Madison Henry scored their first-career goals in a Catawba uniform

- Morgan Delair scored the game-winner for her first goal of the season

- Sydney Jimmo and McKenzee Johnson recorded assists on the Henry goal

- Gabby Cossette earned the win and the clean sheet in goal

 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

FIRST HALF

- Bree Ehmer put the first shot on target in the 11th minute

- Ehmer had a shot hit the post seven minutes later

- Catawba broke through in the 29th minute, when Delair scored on a Dunn assist to break the scoreless tie

 

SECOND HALF

- Johnson looped in a ball to Jimmo, who headed it back to the middle in the 56th minute and Henry did the rest to extend Catawba's lead to 2-0

- Dunn capitalized on a PK after an NGU handball in the box just five minutes later

- Conrad curled in her first goal as a Catawba Indian in the 76th minute

- Henry's potential second goal was waved off after an offsides call in the 80th minute
