Men’s Soccer Drops Match Against No.24 Lenoir-Rhyne Thursday

HICKORY, N.C. - The Coker University men's soccer team fell in a South Atlantic Conference matchup against No. 24 Lenoir-Rhyne on the road Thursday afternoon (Mar. 25) by a score of 3-1. 

The Bears scored early in the first half and again in the final minute before halftime to go ahead at the half. 

Alex Doulos would score off a pass from Luca Leonini in the 84th minute to cut the Bears lead to 2-1.

Lenoir-Rhyne would score once more in the 89th minute of the match to put the contest at its final score. 

Doulos recorded three shots for the Cobras, while Adam Kennedy and Leonini recorded one shot for the Cobras offense. Guillermo Falo Ejea recorded seven saves between the pipes.
