Trojans Fall at Queens; 1-0

Charlotte, N.C. – The Anderson University women's soccer team dropped its South Atlantic Conference match against Queens, 1-0, Thursday evening at Dickson Field. Anderson falls to 1-4 overall and 1-3 in SAC play, while Queens improves to 2-1 overall and 2-1 in conference action.

"We overcame a few obstacles and played with heart," said head coach Sarah Jacobs. "I'm proud of the effort displayed tonight."

The Royals Alyssa Bosak scored an unassisted goal in the 12th minute of action, which proved to be the game winning goal for the Royals.

Queens outshot the Black and Gold 10 (9) – 5 (3) overall with Queens taking five corner shots to AU's three.

Sophomore keeper Jeanette Campbell (1-3) recorded eight saves on the night, while Queens Erika Turner had three stops.

The Black and Gold return home to host SAC opponent Limestone on Thursday, March 25th. Kick-off is slated for 5 pm.
