Cobras Sweep Wolves by Double Digits on Wednesday Night

Newberry, SC - The Coker University Women's Basektball team sweeps Newberry on their home turf Wednesday night by a score of 75-49.

Dasia Lambert, collecting a game high for the Cobras, had 23 points against the Wolves. Lambert shot 8-16 from the field, while Dominique Rodriguez shot 4-8 on the night. Rodriguez (14), Hope Richardson (9), and Valicia Demeritte (8) followed Lambert on the scoreboard. Four other Cobras were able to add to the total of 75 points. As a team, Coker shot 43.1 percent from the field, 31.6 percent from the three point line, and 68.4 percent from the free throw line.

Kristynn Knight, Richardson, and Lambert combined for a total of 24 of the 43 rebounds. Dasia Lambert once again led the team, but in steals, snatchig three from Newberry's possession. Coker also registered 11 assists throughout the game.

Newberry's, Holly Davies, scored 13 points for the Wolves.

The Cobras will be returning to the court on Saturday (Jan. 28) against Emory and Henry. Tip off is set for 2:00 PM in Hartsville, SC. Live streaming and stats will be available at www.cokercobras.vom
