NEWBERRY, S.C. - Coker University men's lacrosse dropped its South Atlantic Conference contest to No. 18 Newberry by a score of 19-5.
Cal Gibson led the Cobras with two goals in the game, while Justin Beighey, Zyaire Marshall and Henry Haskett each scored once. Haskett also assisted on one goal in the game. Nathan Allan led the Cobras with five ground balls in the game, while Ryan Bass picked up three and Connor Gross had two. Seven others each scooped up one ground ball in the game. Allan and Corey Gales each caused a team-high two turnovers in the game, while Caden Gore and Bass each had one. Ethan Hofert made 18 saves between the pipes in the contest.
The Cobras return to action at Chowan on Saturday (Mar. 19) in non-conference action. Opening faceoff is set for 3:00 p.m. from Murfreesboro, N.C., with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
