Mars Hill's Griggs, Trammell Picked as SAC Cross Country Runners of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Alex Griggs and Faith Trammell, a pair of Mars Hill student-athletes, have been named the SAC Cross Country Runners of the Week.

Griggs turned in the top time among Division II Southeast Region runners at Saturday's Louisville Classic to earn the men's Runner of the Week award. The freshman finished with a personal-best time of 25:47.28, placing 40th overall in the event, which featured numerous Division I teams.

Trammell, the women's Runner of the Week, also performed well at the Louisville Classic, finishing with a season-best time of 19:28.27.

The sophomore placed a respectable 127th in the race, competing in a field that included many Division I runners.

The Louisville Classic is the largest cross country meet in the nation, with 120 teams and over 2,000 total participants.
