SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- For the first time since September 20, the Wingate Volleyball Team suffered a defeat. The Bulldogs fell to Lynn in the National Quarterfinal by a final score of 3-0. The Bulldogs were the No. 5 seed in the Quarterfinals and Lynn earned the No. 4 seed. The loss broke Wingate's 23-match winning streak.
Elsa Lamphere paced the Bulldogs with seven kills in the three sets and Maya Van Heyst had 16 assists and seven digs. Maddie Hoffman led the squad with 11 digs.
Lynn saw Jordan Griffin erupt for 19 kills in the victory and boast a .325 hitting percentage. As a team, Lynn hit .333 and held a 49-32 advantage in kills.
The Bulldogs end the campaign with a 31-3 overall record. They will add three more titles to their trophy case. WU won the SAC Regular Season and Tournament titles along with the Southeast Regional Championship. They will look to defend all three crowns in 2025.
