The South Atlantic Conference Announces Astroturf Volleyball Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com)– The South Atlantic Conference announced its AstroTurf Volleyball Players of the week for matches played during the fourth week of the 2021 season. Lenoir-Rhyne's Taylor Prall takes Player of the Week honors, while Wingate's Shannon Kasprak was named Specialist of the Week.

Prall, a senior outside hitter, helped lead the Bears to a 2-0 conference record this past weekend. She tallied 18 kills and 10 digs and one assist in their sweep over Carson-Newman. Prall went on to put down 26 kills, 15 digs and one service ace in their 3-1 win over Lincoln Memorial. Overall, the Tipp City, OH., native averaged 6.29 kills per set, 3.57 digs per set and had a .365 hitting percentage. This is Prall's first Player of the Week Honor this season.

A Junior setter from Austin, TX., Kasprak, helped lead the Bulldogs to a 2-0 conference record this past week. Overall, she averaged 11.67 assists per set totaling to 70 assists overall while adding a total of nine digs, seven kills and two service aces. This is Kasprak's second Specialist of the Week Honor this season.
