Wingate, N.C.----The top-seeded and 12th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs defeated second-seeded and 21st-ranked Armstrong State University in a five-set thriller in the NCAA Southeast Regional championship match Saturday evening in Cuddy Arena. Wingate won by scores of 25-14, 21-25, 25-20, 19-25 and 15-11 to improve to 34-2 overall, winning the regional title for the third consecutive year. Wingate will play in the NCAA Elite Eight for the fourth time in five years. Armstrong ends its season at 30-3 overall. FULL STORY
