The SAC Announces WePlayed Sports Women's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Claudia Vallejos has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during week four of the 2025 season, the Conference announced today.

Vallejos, a sophomore from Seville, Spain, helped #8 Wingate at the ITA National Indoors by going 2-0 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles play, with 2 of the 3 matches coming against top-7 opponents. Vallejos won in straight sets in singles play against #3 Embry-Riddle and UIndy, she also had a 5-4 lead in the third set against the #47 player in the nation from Flagler when the match was clinched. Vallejos also teamed with Fernanda Castillo for a 6-2 win against Embry-Riddle at #3 doubles, while the duo won by forfeit in doubles play vs. UIndy.
