The SAC Announces WePlayed Sports Women's Tennis Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson's Gigi Sompayrac has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played during weeks one and two of the 2025 season, the Conference announced today.

Sompayrac, a sophomore from Knoxville, Tenn., posted a 3-0 mark in singles action and became the first Anderson female tennis player to defeat a player from powerhouse Columbus St. as the Trojans beat CSU 5-2. She posted a 3-1 mark in doubles competition, playing the majority at the No. 1 spot. For the season, she sports a 7-1 mark in singles play and a 6-2 record in doubles.
