The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Swimmers of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Swimmers of the Week for meets competed through January 19. Lenoir-Rhyne's Devin Poteat was named the Women's Swimmer of the Week, while Lenoir0Rhyne's Renato Herran was named the Men's Swimmer of the Week.

Poteat took five first-place finishes in the Bear's two meets. Swimming against Lees-McRae, the junior from Denver, NC captured first in the 200 Medley Relay (1:54.11), 100 Breast (1:10.37), and the 200 Free (2:04.76). Against Converse, Poteat won the 100 Free (54.43) and the 200 Breast (2:31.39).

Herran also won five events in the course of two meets of the Bears. Against Lees-McRae the junior from Plantation Fla touched first in the 200 Medley Relay (1:36.21), 50 Free (21.88), and the 100 Butterfly (53.89). Swimming against Converse, Herran won the 50 Free (21.77) and the 100 Free (47.73).
