The South Atlantic Conference Posts Six Soccer Teams in the NCAA Regional Rankings, Oct. 30
Lenoir-Rhyne, Wingate, Lincoln Memorial, Newberry and Catawba represented the League in the women’s Southeast Regional Rankings, while Wingate was the lone men’s team from the SAC in the Southeast
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference posted six women's and one men's team in the NCAA Regional Rankings, the NCAA announced today. Lenoir-Rhyne, Wingate, Lincoln Memorial, Newberry and Catawba represented the League in the women's Southeast Regional Rankings, while Wingate was the lone men's team from the SAC in the Southeast.
Lenior-Rhyne is currently 12-3-1 overall to earn the No. 4 position in the Southeast. The Wingate women were right behind them in the No. 5 spot as they are 9-1-3 overall. The Railsplitters came in at No.7 with their 8-2-2 overall mark. At No. 8 was Newberry, who is 9-3-2 overall. Catawba rounded out the list for the women at No. 9 with its 10-5-1 overall record.
The Bulldog men are currently fifth in the Southeast Region with a 10-3-1 record.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Soccer Committees up to the NCAA Championship selections.
