Trent Mahoney of King Tabbed South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Men’s Wrestler of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Trent Mahoney of King has been selected as the South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Men’s Wrestler of the Week.
A freshman from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mahoney finished a perfect regular season with pair of pins at 149 pounds last week against Queens and Mount Olive. Mahoney first pinned Mount Olive’s Cody Smith in 4:07 before pinning Queens’ Jude Lloyd in 3:35 to help lead King to dual meet victories on Thursday, Feb. 11 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Mahoney closed out his freshman regular season 9-0 with seven pins and one technical fall. Mahoney entered the week leading NCAA Division II in pins.
