Scattareggia and Friesen Earn SAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference has announced its WePlayed Sports Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during week ten of the 2025 season. Ava Scattareggia of Anderson has been named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Sally Friesen of Lenoir-Rhyne earns the Defensive Player of the Week honor.

Scattareggia, a freshman attacker, played a key role in Anderson's two-win week, including a 16-15 victory over No. 11 Flagler. She registered 11 total points, scoring seven goals and dishing out four assists. She was highly efficient, converting all three of her free position shots while posting a 70.0% shot percentage with ten shots, all on goal. Scattareggia tallied five points (3 goals, 2 assists) against Flagler and followed up with six points (4 goals, 2 assists) in an 18-4 win over Coker.

Friesen, a junior goalkeeper, helped Lenoir-Rhyne to a 2-0 week, which included a 16-12 win over No. 25 Limestone, marking the Bears' first ranked victory in six years. She posted 13 saves against Limestone, then played 30 minutes against Emory & Henry, allowing just one goal while collecting three saves. Over the two-game span, Friesen recorded a 55.2% save percentage and an 8.67 goals-against average, anchoring Lenoir-Rhyne's defense.
