Skeffington and Muir Earn SAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference has announced its WePlayed Sports Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during week nine of the 2025 season. Ava Skeffington and Megan Muir, both from Anderson, have been named the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.

Skeffington, a sophomore attacker, led Anderson to two SAC victories, tallying 9 goals and 1 assist for 10 total points. She scored 5 goals in a 17-9 win over Lincoln Memorial and followed with 4 goals and 1 assist in a 15-11 victory over Tusculum. She was efficient on the attack, shooting 47.4% and converting 3-of-4 free position shots to help Anderson improve to 3-0 in conference play.

Muir, a freshman midfielder, had a dominant two-way performance, making a significant defensive impact in Anderson's two wins. She recorded 8 caused turnovers, 16 ground balls, and 8 draw controls, while also contributing 6 goals and 2 assists offensively. Her standout defensive effort came in a 15-11 win over Tusculum, where she tallied 6 caused turnovers and 11 ground balls, helping Anderson control possession and secure the win.
