Limestone Picked as South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Preseason Favorite; Preseason All-Conference Teams Announced

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The Limestone Saints have been picked as the 2025 South Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse preseason favorites, the league office announced today. The Saints received nine first-place votes and 119 points total. 

Wingate earned the No. 2 spot with 113 points and three first-place votes, while Newberry earned the No. 3 spot with 97 points. Following at No. 4 was Anderson with 86 points and Lenoir-Rhyne at No. 5 with 78 points. 

UVA Wise claimed the No. 6 spot in the poll with 73 points, while Lincoln memorial was voted No. 7 with 70 points. Tusculum earned 48 points at No. 8 place followed by Catawba with 45 at No. 9. 

Rounding out the preseason poll was Mars Hill at No. 10 with 29 points, Coker at No. 11 with 18 points, and Emory & Henry at No. 12 with 16 points. 

The South Atlantic Conference also announced its preseason All-Conference team. On the first team at attack is Ava Skeffington and Rayne Dobson from Anderson along with Kaleigh Wilgeroth and Nelida Watson from Wingate. 

The first team midfielders selection includes Lincoln Memorial's Josie Tinnerello, Limestone's Reese Hjertaas, Wingate's Claire Fuchs, and Lenoir-Rhyne's Chloe Christensen. 

Kathryn McCabe and Krysta Chums of Wingate, Katy Snyder of Anderson, and Delaney Duck of Lincoln memorial were all named as defenders on the first team. 

Tusculum's Emily White was named the first team goalie to finish up the list of preseason first-team honorees.
