Queens Captures 2022 South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Championship Title

HICKORY, N.C. – The Queens Royals women's lacrosse team completed an impressive conference season going 10-0 in the SAC and 18-0 overall. For the second year in a row the Royals take the Championship Title after defeating Wingate 21-5.

The Royals came out strong in the first half scoring 12 goals to Wingate's two. Queens ran up the score in the second half scoring the remaining nine goals to secure the Championship title. 

Individually, Kyleigh Masteran led the Queens offense with five goals and Kaitlyn Hardin followed closely behind with four. Teammates Shannon Donovan and Shannon Kingston scored three goals each and Rebecca Kinsley scored two. The remaining single goals were scored by Caroline Krauch, Alxie Flores, Carson Giordano and Sydney Braken. The SAC Tournament MVP and Queens midfielder, Shannon Donovan tallied three goals, two assists, one ground ball and three caused turnovers. 

The NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse selection show is scheduled to air on Sunday, May 8 at 8:30pm on NCAA.com, which will determine the postseason fates of the SAC schools.
