Six SAC Student-Athletes Earn Capital One Academic All-District Honors
A total of six student-athletes from the SAC have been selected to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District At-Large Team, which recognizes top student-athletes for their performances athletically and in the classroom. The At-Large Team includes the SAC-sponsored sports of men’s tennis, women’s tennis, men’s golf and women’s golf.

Newberry shot a 318 on Tuesday in the final round of the 2013 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship South Regional to finish eighth in the team standings with a three-day score of 954.

For the fourth season in a row, Newberry has earned a selection to the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf South Regional, which will take place May 5-7 at the Lone Palm Golf Club in Lakeland, Fla. The Wolves will be joined by Tusculum’s Emee Herbert, who was selected to the championship as an individual.

Player of the Year Herbert Leads SAC Women's Golf Award Winners
After leading the SAC in adjusted scoring average and recording four top-five finishes at tournaments this season, Tusculum sophomore Emee Herbert has been selected as the conference's women's golf Player of the Year, leading the list of award winners that was announced on Thursday.
