McDowell Earns Second WBCA National Player of the Week Honor

Anderson's Diamond McDowell was announced as the WBCA National Player of the Week. 

McDowell picks up her second national award in the last three weeks after averaging 27.5 points and 15.0 rebounds per game in two wins. The senior forward from Asheboro, N.C., opened with 28 points and 17 rebounds in a win over Wingate, then had 27 points with 13 boards in a win over Emory & Henry. She added 3.0 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals per game. McDowell is tied for the league lead in the South Atlantic Conference with 11.7 rebounds per game. She is also third in the league in scoring with 15 double-doubles on the year.
