Catawba's Foskey Brings Home SAC WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Catawba forward Janiya Foskey has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week 14 of the 2024-25 season, the Conference announced today.

Foskey, a forward from Greenville, N.C., led Catawba to wins over No. 9 Coker and Emory & Henry last week. Against the SAC-leading Cobras, Foskey poured in 21 points and went 7-of-12 from the field to go with 10 boards, three steals and two assists. Against the Wasps, Foskey went off for 38 points on 16-of-24 shooting and added 12 rebounds and three more steals. Foskey averaged 29.5 points per game and 11 rebounds per game while piling up 3 steals per contest in the two wins. This is the third time this season that Foskey has earned SAC Player of the Week honors.
