Anderson's McDowell Named WBCA-D2CIDA National Player of the Week

Anderson's Diamond McDowell has been named the WBCA-D2CIDA National Player of the Week. 

McDowell was unstoppable in two wins for the Trojans, averaging 20.5 points and 20.5 rebounds per game in two starts. The senior forward from Asheboro, N.C., scored 23 with 22 boards against Limestone, becoming her school's all-time career rebounder in the process. She followed that with 18 points and 19 rebounds against Catawba. For the week, she added 2.5 assists and shot 44% from the field. McDowell leads the South Atlantic Conference in rebounding with 11.3 per contest and is ranked fifth in scoring.
