Catawba's Foskey Brings Home SAC WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Catawba forward Janiya Foskey has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week twelve of the 2024-25 season, the Conference announced today.

Foskey, a senior from Greenville, N.C., led Catawba to a 2-0 week by averaging 23.5 points per game and shooting 69.2 percent from the field. She picked up her game in crucial moments, scoring 25 points in the two fourth quarters alone last week. She added eight rebounds, a steal and a block per game for the Catawba Indians. Foskey went 11-of-12 from the free throw line and averaged over a point per minute as she averaged 23 minutes per game last week. This is the second time this season that Foskey has earned SAC Player of the Week honors.
