Catawba's Foskey Earns SAC WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week Accolades

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Catawba forward Janiya Foskey has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week eight of the 2024-25 season, the Conference announced today.

Foskey, a senior from Greenville, N.C., dropped a career-high 28 points on 7-of-10 shooting and 14-of-17 from the foul line in a 75-68 win for Catawba over Mars Hill on Saturday. Foskey added nine rebounds in the victory along with five steals and two blocks. This was her third 20-point game of the season. The win puts Catawba at 7-3 in SAC play this season.
