Wingate's Anderson Named SAC WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate forward Lia Anderson has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week four of the 2024-25 season, the Conference announced today.

Anderson, a sophomore from LaPlace, La., posted a pair of double-doubles in her two games last week. In a SAC win at Lenoir-Rhyne, Anderson had 13 points and 11 rebounds while going 6-of-11 from the field and adding an assist and a steal to push Wingate past the Bears 68-55. To round out the week, Anderson had 16 points and 13 rebounds with a pair of blocks at Columbus St. For the week, Anderson averaged 14.5 points and 12 rebounds while adding two blocks and a steal and shooting 50 percent from the field.
