SAC Softball Weekly Honors go to C-N’s Hensley, L-R’s Hole
Carson-Newman sophomore Kelli Hensley has been named the SAC Softball Player of the Week and Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore Brandi Hole the conference’s Pitcher of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Carson-Newman sophomore Kelli Hensley has been named the SAC Softball Player of the Week and Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore Brandi Hole the conference's Pitcher of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.

Hensley continued her big season at the plate last week as Carson-Newman went 4-0, piling up 11 hits in 17 at-bats.
After going 2-for-4 in Carson-Newman's series opener with Concord on Tuesday, Hensley had three hits apiece in the Eagles' second game with Concord and both GRU Augusta contests on Saturday. She finished the week with two triples, a double, four RBI and five runs scored.
On the season, Hensley leads the SAC with a .506 batting average and 60 total bases, and ranks third in on-base percentage at .538.
SAC Softball Pitcher of the Week | Brandi Hole, Lenoir-Rhyne
Hole tossed her fourth shutout of the season on Sunday at GRU Augusta, allowing only four hits in seven innings while striking out three in a 7-0 Bears win. The sophomore has now thrown complete-game shutouts in her last three appearances.
Sunday's performance lowered Hole's ERA to 0.57, which is the conference's best. She is also tied for the league lead with nine wins and ranks fourth in strikeouts with 63.
