Wingate’s Watson, Lenoir-Rhyne’s Eisenmann Named Runners Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - For the third week in a row, Wingate University's Jayce Watson was named the South Atlantic Conference Male Cross Country Runner of the Week, while Lenoir-Rhyne senior Gennilee Eisenmann was named the SAC Female Cross Country Runner of the Week announced Monday, September 15.
Wingate University senior Jayce Watson (Millersport, Ohio) won the individual title at the Wingate University Invitational with a 9.7K time of 32:15. The victory is Watson's second win in as many weeks. Twelve teams and 107 runners participated in this pre-regional event.

Watson, the 2005 SAC Freshman Runner of the Year, has won his third straight SAC Male Cross Country Runner of the Week this year.
Senior Gennilee Eisenmann (Clayton, N.C.) led the way with a 21st-place finish in the Bojangles Invitational in Charlotte, N.C. over the 5K course with a time of 20:56. She was also the top non- NCAA Division I runner in the race. Eisenmann is a three-time All-SAC honoree and qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championship race last year.
Against mostly NCAA Division I competition, the L-R women's squad finished fifth overall.
The SAC Runners of the Week are determined by a vote of the sports information directors of the league.
