Mars Hill Cross Country Teams Earn All-Academic Honors
MARS HILL, NC - For the eleventh straight year the Mars Hill College Cross Country women's team earned All-Academic Team Honors.
The award is presented by the NCAA Division II Cross Country Coaches Association. Once again their combined cumulative team GPA of 3.80 was one of the highest in the nation. Four ladies earned individual All-Academic Honors. Elizabeth Head (Monroe, GA) for the second time, Keely Hollahan (Charlotte, NC) for the second time, Captain Ashley McCauley (Greenville, SC) for the third time and Kate Prichard (Clemson, SC) also for the third time.
For the men's team, Jon Stoehr (Antigo, WI) earned individual All-Academic honors for the third straight year. The award is for achieving high academic standards as well as finishing among the top participants at the NCAA D-II Regional Championships. Since it's inception in 1996 the Mars Hill Cross Country Teams have had 44 runners earn Individual honors as well as garnishing 16 Team awards.
