Wingate's Le Grix Named 2024 SAC Men's Outdoor T&F Athlete of the Year
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Titouan Le Grix has been named the 2024 South Atlantic Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year, the Conference office announced on Thursday (June 5).
Le Grix, a junior from Baillargues, France, caps a year that saw him earn All-American honors in cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field. He was a member of the National Championship winning cross country team for Wingate and was also an individual national champion in the steeplechase at NCAA Outdoor Championships with a time of 8:38.15.
Le Grix earned First Team All-American status in the steeplechase and Second Team in the 5,000 meters. He finished 11th in the NCAA outdoor in the 5000m with a time of 15:20.25). He was All-Southeast Region in both events and was the SAC outdoor champion in the 1500m with a time of 3:47.18).
The SAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year award is determined following the completion of the NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championship and is voted on by the league's head coaches.
