Wingate Picked as Preseason Favorite in 2024 SAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Preseason Poll

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The Wingate Bulldogs have been selected as the 2024 SAC Indoor Track & Field preseason favorites, the conference announced Tuesday (March 19). The reigning SAC Outdoor Track & Field Champions picked up 11 first-place votes and received 143 points from the league's head coaches.

Lenoir-Rhyne placed second in the poll with 134 points and the remaining two first-place votes. Tusculum took the No. 3 spot with 112 points, while Carson-Newman came in at No. 4 with 107 points. Anderson completed the top five with 106 points.

Catawba landed at No. 6 with 86 points, while Newberry claimed No. 7 with 83 points. Limestone earned 73 points to come in at No. 8, while Lincoln Memorial finished at No. 9 with 54 points. Mars Hill took the No. 10 spot with 45 points, and Emory & Henry took the No. 11 spot with 34 points. Rounding out the poll at No. 12 and No. 13 was Coker with 22 points and UVA Wise with 15 points.

The 2024 SAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place May 1-2 at the Lenoir-Rhyne University track in Hickory, N.C.
