UVA Wise's Douglas Awarded SAC Wealth Enhancement Group Elite 23 for Men's Indoor Track and Field
ROCK HILL, S.C. (theSAC.com) – UVA Wise's Chad Douglas was honored as the 2024-25 SAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Wealth Enhancement Group Elite 23 award winner on Sunday (March 2).
This award honors the student-athlete with the top cumulative grade-point average (based on a minimum of 48 credit hours) in each of the league's 23 team championship sports.
Douglas, a sophomore distance runner from Big Stone Gap, Va., has a 4.00 GPA and 47 credit hours earned while studying accounting. He has competed in the 500 meters and 800 meters for the Cavaliers. He posted a time of 1:14.55 at the Bast-Cregger Multi Invitational in January in the 500m and a season-best 2:06.88 in the Centre Indoor Invitational in the 800m.
