Wingate's Le Grix Named SAC WePlayed Sports Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets contested during the second week of competition. Wingate's Titouan Le Grix earned the track honor while no field athletes competed.

Le Grix, a senior distance runner from Baillargues, France, ran the fastest time in the nation, winning the Indiana Early Bird Invitational with his mark of 4:00.30 on Friday. His weekend effort is a new school record for the Bulldogs, besting the previous mark of 4:01.06 set by Hamza Chahid last season. Le Grix's time is more than six seconds faster than his previous effort.
