The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Swimmers of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Swimmers of the Week for meets competed in during the eighth week of the 2024 season. Wingate's Natalia Dwojak was named the Women's Swimmer of the Week, while Wingate's Ney Chagas Filho was named the Men's Swimmer of the Week.  

Dwojak won the 100 Breaststroke with a school-record time of 1:01.39 to help Wingate finish fourth at the Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy Invitational. The junior from Poland also took second in the 400 Medley Relay, fourth in the 200 Medley Relay, fifth in the 200 Freestyle Relay, and seventh in the 200 Individual Medley. 

Chagas Filho won the 200 Backstroke with a time of 1:44.87 while also earned second in the 400 Medley Relay and the 100 Backstroke. The junior from Brazil finished third in the 200 Freestyle Relay and fourth in the 200 Medley Relay.
