The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Swimmers of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Swimmers of the Week for meets competed in during the sixth week of the 2024 season. Wingate's Giulianna Garcia was named the Women's Swimmer of the Week, while Wingate's Fernando Dehaudt was named the Men's Swimmer of the Week. 

Garcia swam in seven events as Wingate finished second in the Emory Fall Invitational. The junior's best events were the 200 IM (2:07.43 and the 200 Fly (2:05.78) where she finished fifth. Garcia's 200 Fly is the fastest in the SACA this season.  

Dehaudt won the 1650 Free at the Emory Fall Invitational with his NCAA Division II B cut time of 15:47.51, this mark is the fastest time in the SAC this year.
