The South Atlantic Conference Announces WePlayed Sports Swimmers of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Swimmers of the Week for meets competed in during the first week of the 2024 season. Wingate's Lucie Andrews was named the Women's Swimmer of the Week while Wingate's Fernando Dehaudt was named the Men's Swimmer of the Week.

Andrews took first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51:19 in the Bulldogs meet against Division I Queens. The senior also led the Wingate 400 medley relay to finish first with a time of 3:44.93. Andrews also touched second in the 200 free and 800 free relay.

Dehaudt took first in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 9:18.40 leading the Bulldogs to beat Division I Queens 132-130. The freshman from Belgium also finished second in the 500 free and 800 free relay.
