SAC Boasts Three Nationally Ranked Men's Soccer Teams for Fifth Straight Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference continues to boast three teams in the top 25 of the men's soccer national rankings as the USC National Poll was released, with two of those teams being in the top eight. This was the fifth poll of the season.
Limestone held steady at No. 5 in the poll for the second straight week which is the highest ranking this season for Limestone. The Saints easily topped Newberry and Carson-Newman by a tally of 13-0 this past week to move to 7-0-1 on the year and a perfect 5-0 in the SAC.
The biggest riser in the poll this week was Coker who jumped 10 spots from No. 18 to No. 8. With wins over Catawba and Emory & Henry, the Cobras are now 7-1 overall and 4-1 in SAC play.
Wingate dropped from No. 9 to No. 17 this week. Wingate lost a tough road match at Lincoln Memorial, 2-0. Overall, Wingate sits at 4-2-1 overall and 2-2 in league play.
